Antoinette is a soft pale pink inspired by the decorative pieces and interiors of 18th Century France, when the finest red earths were mixed with white and used to make a clear, but dusky colour for walls. Its natural complementary colours are are in the blue greens. At 1850 Homestead's farmhouse, we use Antoinette to update French style furniture in a little girls room with Paloma Grey walls, and Louis Blue accents. Antoinette would also pair beautifully with Svenska Blue or Duck Egg Blue.
Shown in an end table with Clear Wax against Country Grey walls and curtains in Tacit Duck Egg Blue, as a stool and artwork next to a Chicago Grey bureau, with Aubergine in a modern kitchen, and with Amsterdam Green in a Midcentury Modern bedroom. The three design boards show:
- An Old White base in a modern design using Burgundy, Louis Blue, Duck Egg Blue, Paris Grey, Paloma, Coco and Antoinette,
- A Geo-Folk board with Antoinette, Greek Blue, Florence, Graphite, Old White and Emperor's Silk, and
- A modern design board shows a Lotus design with a Cream base and detail in Amsterdam Green, Napoleonic Blue, Emperor's Silk, Arles and Antoinette.
