Emperor's Silk
  • Emperor's Silk

Emperor's Silk is a bright pure red like the silk lining of a jacket. It is also the red of Chinese lacquer, especially when deepened with Black Chalk Paint® Wax. Use it in the interior of a cupboard or drawer for a pop of colour.

Shown as an end table with Clear wax against a Paris Grey wall with a Graphite Linen Union lampshade.   Also shown as the wall framing a bench in Piano in Old Violet and fringed by curtains in Tacit in French Linen., and as the wallcolor backdrop for a Paris Grey dining room.  The two design boards show:

    • A Geo-Folk design board shows Antoinette, Greek Blue, Florence, Graphite, Old White and Emperor's Silk, and
    • A modern design board shows a Lotus design with a Cream base and detail in Amsterdam Green, Napoleonic Blue, Emperor's Silk, Arles and Antoinette.

A Matisse-inspired kids bedroom uses a Giverny bed, English Yellow desk, and Antibes Green and Emperor's Silk accents.  Last images are of an end table painted Emperor's Silk and finished in Dark Wax.
