Throughout the Mediterranean, Greek Blue can be found on rustic doors, shutters and furniture often faded and distressed. It’s also a colour that works well in a neoclassical interior deepened a little with dark wax. At 1850 Homestead's farmhouse, our oldest chose Greek Blue for her walls...it is such a rich, purply blue and it is very soothing and rich. It's a wonderful colour to relax and get a good night's sleep surrounded by.
Shown as an end table, together with French Linen in a coastal bedroom, with Barcelona Orange on an ombre dresser, as a stencil on a Chateau Grey shower curtain, and as detail on a Rodmell end table. A Geo-Folk design board shows Antoinette, Greek Blue, Florence, Graphite, Old White and Emperor's Silk. Also shown as a bureau done with a base color of Greek Blue, frottage in Olive, with Trees stencil allover as well as a kitchen cupboard of Greek Blue over layers of Primer Red and Napoleonic Blue, then distressed to show each layer. Cupboard set against a Scandinavian Pink wall. Also shown is a Swedish linen cabinet done in Old Ochre with Country Grey and Greek Blue interior.
