Like deep Parma violets or blue lavender, Old Violet is a wonderful 18th Century colour inspired by the colours of ancient Rome. Beautiful on its own or paired with red for a little Parisian boho. Shown with Cream and Emperor's Silk.
Shown on an end table with Clear Wax, surrounded by an Emperor's Silk lamp, curtains in Piano in Old Violet, and a lampshade in Old Violet + Old White. Frottage end table done with a base coat in Old Violet, then diluted layers of Aubusson Blue and Amsterdam Green were dabbed with newspapers to create the effect. A child's high chair is done in Old Violet, with accents in Burgundy, Cream and Provence.
The 1 Liter tin is enough to cover approximately 13 square meters or 140 square feet. After painting, seal indoor furniture with Chalk Paint® Wax. On floors, seal with Chalk Paint® Lacquer. Take a look at our Tips & Techniques section for more information and to help you get started.
The 120ml Sample Pot is enough to cover approximately 80+ square feet of coverage, for example 2-3 chairs, and if you thin with water it can cover even more.
