A warm, slightly creamy, traditional white, Original is the colour of old painted furniture. It is perfectly paired with Duck Egg Blue, Antoinette and Louis Blue for a delicate old distressed French look. At our 1850 Homestead farmhouse, we painted the shiplap in our entry and laundry room with Old White, evoking a forgivingly creamy fresh space.
Shown in an end table with Clear Wax against a Versailles wall with curtains in Dulcet in Versailles and a lampshade in Linen Union in Old White + Old Violet. Next shown on a chair against an Original wall, with Emile + Graphite Linen Union curtains and a Graphite + Old White Linen Union cushion. Also shown as a kitchen table with a Graphite top done in the Sgraffito style. The Venetian Plaster wall begins with a base in Old White, then increasing layers of thinly spread Duck Egg Blue, French Linen, Country Grey and Original to give texture. Gold Size and Brass Leaf is applied, then the whole wall Lacquered to preserve the effect. Last end table is shown finished in Clear Wax with Greek Blue drawer interiors.
