Scandinavian Pink was inspired by the traditional colours found in much Swedish furniture. We use it underneath pale neutrals like Old Ochre or Old White. It also works beautifully as a colour for the interior of cupboards and drawers. Scandinavian Pink's falls in the orangy red neighborhood, and its complementary colors are in the greens such as Provence, Duck Egg Blue, Svenska Blue or even Lem Lem.
Shown alone as an end table finished in Clear Wax surrounded by French Linen Tacit curtains and a lampshade made from French Linen + Old White Linen Union fabric, on an Aubusson Blue table with Scandinavian Pink frottage method, as detail on a Firle chair and as detail on a Giverny end table. A kitchen cupboard of Greek Blue over layers of Primer Red and Napoleonic Blue, then distressed to show each layer is set against a Scandinavian Pink wall. Also shown as and as a paneled study accented in Arles and Scandinavian Pink. For outdoor plastered wall in a Terracotta effect, Scandinavian Pink is first used, then Henrietta, then Paloma. The last end table is finished in Clear Wax with decoupage on the inner drawer, and is beautifully framed by the Graphite wall.
